Get Prepared For Art School

We provide advanced art school consulting services for students preparing to enter art school

Art school can be a transformative and inspiring journey for aspiring artists, unleashing their creative potential and nurturing their artistic skills.

Proper preparation for art school is an essential component in maximizing the benefits and success of an art school experience. By preparing beforehand, students can ensure they make the most of their time in art school, setting themselves up for personal growth, artistic development, and professional advancement.

A strong portfolio is critical in the process of getting into art school. It serves as a visual representation of an artist’s skills, creativity, and potential and is often the deciding factor when being accepted to an art school program. Art school consulting is how you get there.

Who We Are

We are a program with several decades of experience and success working with students from all walks of life to fulfill their dreams of working in an Art career. We are dedicated and passionate about the program we offer.

More importantly, this is about who YOU are. Art School Prep does not accept everyone who applies. We are a selective program that expects students to work independently and be invested in their future goals. More important than what talent or skill you bring to the program is the drive and effort you put into the work we do.

If you are interested in learning to become an artist, a more learned person, and a better thinker, then welcome, you are in the right place and we look forward to working with you.

Questions

Prior to the conference/zoom call, potential students share their portfolio images with us. (a maximum of 20 images). We review the work and give concrete feedback for improving the content as well as the sequencing and formatting. This is a review in the style of what a student might receive at a Portfolio Review Day. Work will be viewed with a critical eye and pointed feedback will be provided.
Art School Prep is selective about potential candidates because we want to work with students who have the drive and dedication to complete the curriculum.
A comprehensive plan will be developed to curate already established work. Gaps in a student’s portfolio will be filled through recommending projects and providing instruction when needed. If students are still working towards developing the skills needed to create a portfolio, we will start with foundational lessons and projects and progress towards the advanced work needed for a portfolio.
Students can sign up for a single semester at a time or for an entire academic year. Depending on the amount of work needed on your portfolio your mentor will be able to recommend a length of time for students to engage with the program.
Let’s start with a free discovery call.
Our process provides young artists with an experienced mentor, who will support your student from entry to exit of our program. Every young artist can benefit from a mentor guiding their introspection and facilitating opportunities for growth. Your student’s mentor will also advise them on coursework, summer programs, art competitions, and other pre-college opportunities to increase their growth and develop a comprehensive college application.
Yes, you will be working with state credentialed and certified teachers.
